In the context of Missie Jordan's career and in our show, Pure Imagination, Gertie will take the stage in the second half. Her hugely popular comedic persona and "beloved sidekick" is an eccentric, zany older female character known for her humorous, sometimes confused takes on modern life and the "new generation". 

About the Gertie

• Persona: Gertie is an upbeat, bold, and opinionated character with a strong Brooklyn accent. She's a retired woman who speaks her mind and often finds herself in amusing situations due to misunderstandings of contemporary culture and technology.
• Comedy Style: Her comedy is rooted in "senior humor" and observational anecdotes, offering a relatable and light-hearted perspective on aging and societal changes. She often jokes about topics like modern slang (mistaking "GOAT" for the animal), new fashion trends (blue or pink hair), and general modern confusion.
• Role in Performances: In the one-woman show "I’m Not Done Yet" and within our production Pure Imagination, Gertie serves as a delightful host and comedic relief, balancing Missie’s impressive vocal range in jazz, pop, and Broadway tunes. She appears throughout The Villages area of Florida and is available for corporate events and private parties under the handle @GertieComedy.
